OCTOBER 25TH
PART I
LISTENING
HOPES AND DREAMS
Teachers: Tirsa, Abigail, Sara, Irene, Jose, Carolina
⚽On this lesson teachers had the
objective to stimulate students’ listening skill. Using a story related to hard
work and love.
🎧At first teachers decided to
start the class with a warm up were students were separated in two groups and
they had to place in order the parts of it while listening.
🎹Then, they started explaining vocabulary
from the audio, and after everything was clear they had another activity in
which students received a bunch of pictures and they had to put them in order,
using just their logic. When they finished teachers played the audio with the
story so students were able to check and verify that they had gotten the
correct order.
🎈After all that, the students received
a handout with a story written on it but with some missing words, that students
had to complete while they listened to an audio with the story and at the same
time identify the missing word and write it.
🎾To continue with the class
students had to use the vocabulary they had learned and tell out loud what their
dreams were. By the end of the class, after they had heard their classmates’
dreams they gave pieces of advice to their classmates to accomplish their
dreams.
PART II
💬They started the class by making two groups in order for them to put on the board a word so they could organize it. the letter was carried for the students while they tried to keep the balance with a glass that was placed on their hands.
💧The next part consisted with the teacher selecting a keyword, so they can put it on the glass. with the group splitted into two they draw a word on the word on the board that the teacher told them, so they could guess.
💢Teachers gave students a reading about Rachel's 4 weeks in south america, the read it first by their own and second out loud with a partner.
⏰With the board divided in 4 sections students wrote the things they remembered from the reading. they picked pairs and then make questions about reading so the teacher could prove if the text was understood.

📪After that the teacher placed 4 flags of different countries on the board so the students could work in pairs to choose words or phrases to put them on the correct flag. the words of the phrases were related with the reading.
💳Finally they had some music. hats were given so they could pass them, when the music stopped the one that has the hat should ask a question ... which country from the ones mentioned before would you like to visit and why?
